Keiras First Valentines

So Valentines was the best! It was on a Sunday so i really didn't expect any flowers or going out to eat. The night before we went out to a movie and cafe rio so i had in my head that was what was our valentine! But little did Barry know i had something up my sleeve. The night before i went and bought a heart shaped pizza ( i know tacky, but i just had to do it!) and a bunch of valentine decorations. I was planning to go home during relief society and setting up. But little did i know barry had also had something up his! i woke up to flowers, chocolates, and olive garden for later that night. he had went out and bought it all the night before. He also got Keira a cute little puppy for her first valentine. We had a great valentines.. The best one i have had yet!

fondue party!!!!

Friday night a few of us couples got together for fondue games and a movie. Adam and Brooke put the whole thing together! We always love hanging out with Brooke and Adam. We have a lot of movie and game nights with them. But this one has to be the most fun one yet! We had a cheese fondue, Chicken broth fondue, Beef broth fondue, AND chocolate fondue! it was amazing.

Sundance with the Engelbrechts

We have had a fantastic weekend! Barrys dad drove from California to visit us for the weekend. It was really nice to see him and spend time with him! Anyone who knows Barrys dad he is the nicest person ever. and hes so nice to be around I swear he is always happy! Anyways Saturday we went up to sundance for lunch at the grill (so good!) then barrys dad went skiing while we picked up Adam (Barrys little brother) from the airport after we met up with barrys dad and they went snowboarding/skiing. While they did that me and Barry sat around a fire with keira drank hot chocolate and just relaxed. It was so nice.. We also went back to the grill for dinner. It was a really great weekend. It was sad to see Grandpa Engelbrecht leave. But we are keeping Adam with us for the week! :)

Keira's Crawling!!!!

So it was just 2 weeks ago keira didn't even know how to get up on her knees. She even barely sat on her own. Then one day she started getting up on her knees and scooting on her head. The very next day she took her first crawl! Ever since then shes been on the move!

After church we came home and it always amazes me how fast Keira falls asleep in her car seat. We seriously live 4 blocks from our chapel. I left it to Barry to take her out and carry her up. Somehow he managed to get her out with out waking her up. We brought her up to the apartment and took turns holding her. We kept passing her back and forth. We couldn't get enough of her! Well why were we so excited about this? Let me explain. Keira is a little explorer and never lets us cuddle her anymore. It's a sad thing. We have missed this soooo terribly bad. So we had to really take advantage of her while she let us cuddle her. It was the best! I miss cuddling with her. :(

a little update.

So heres our new blog. I have no idea what i did to the last one... I did something where everything got lost. So here i go again for the third time. Hopefully by the Third attempt at this blogging I'll be able to figure it out. ;) I'll try to keep everything updated. I know on our last one i was horrible at it but I'll try and do better. Well I'll start now i guess. So here's the update on the Engelbrechts. Barry is still in school at BYU he is in the business program and will be graduating next year in April. Hes a busy man! when hes not doing school he loves to play with keira our daughter. I swear hes the only one that makes her laugh! its the cutest thing. As for me I'm loving being a stay at home mommy. its exhausting I'll admit, but i love it and wouldn't trade it! Keira is now 7 1/2 months. Shes a doll. She is finally sitting on her own and rolls everywhere!
